Use case

Give your AI assistant live web search

Language models stop learning at a training cutoff, so anything newer has to come from a search tool. A web search MCP server sends the assistant's query to an engine such as Brave, Tavily, Exa, or Perplexity and returns ranked results with snippets and links, which the model can then read and cite. Some servers also fetch full pages or run deeper multi-step research. Most need an API key from the search provider, and free tiers are usually enough for personal use. Check each provider's limits before you rely on it for automated agents.
