What to know about Cloud storage MCP servers
Cloud storage servers give an assistant access to files that live in buckets and shared drives rather than on your laptop. Object storage servers cover Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Google Cloud Storage, and Azure Blob. Consumer and team drive servers cover Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Box.

How to install one

How do I limit an S3 MCP server to one bucket?
Create an IAM user or role with a policy that allows actions only on that bucket's ARN, and give the server those credentials. Add a prefix condition to narrow it further.
Can cloud storage servers handle large files?
They can list and move large files, but reading them into the model's context is limited by size. For big datasets, pair the storage server with an analysis or SQL server that can process the file directly.
